Presents

Nana and Grandpa brought down Juliette's Xmas presents so we wouldn't have to bring them back to VA with us after break, so she got some practice opening presents. She did a pretty good job grabbing the paper and pulling- with her two little fingers. She didn't know quite what to do after that, but it was cute. True to form, she liked the crinkly bag her presents came in more than anything. Her little hat was so adorable- it says My first Christmas. Just like her mommy, she passed up the toys and went straight for the books!

Our Tree

We put the tree up super early this year so Grandpa could see Juliette with the tree. She is a little confused by it, but likes trying to pet it. She hasn't been rough with it or too grabby. I think she likes the prickly needles.

Grandpa and Me

I finally got around to loading the new pictures we took while Dad was down here with us for the week of Thanksgiving. The baby had a great time with him and laughed everytime she saw him.

I thought I was going to get shafted out of my baby's official first picture with Santa, but Bass Pro came through and finally sent me the link to the picture. So now we have a redneck Santa picture :). Kidding---it really is cute. Plus they sent me the link to the backgrounds so I can change the border if I want.

We've had a very busy week with nana and grandpa! Here are her xmas pictures from Picture People--the photographer did a great job of getting her to smile. Our house is going to be looking like a gallery for Juliette!

Bass Pro Shop and Santa

Today was Juliette's first trip to see Santa. Mom was very nervous and stayed off to the side because she thought Juliette would scream. She didn't, in fact she smiled at the big guy and loved the feel of his robes! She also loved watching the fish in the little pond swimming around.

Yay

Last night was finally a full night for Juliette again. She slept from 8pm until 8am with only a few second wake up around 3am. I think the last few nights her teeth were bugging her.

Countdown

Juliette and I have had a Nana and Grandpa countdown for the last month and now it's T minus 6 days until they get here! We're very excited! Some visits to Santa are planned- yes multiples just in case the first time she's scared- Xmas photos taken at Picture People, her first Thanksgiving, and some quality time with the grandparents to show off all her new tricks even though they've seen a lot of them over the web cam with Skype. Still, she's gone through a lot of changes since they saw her in September. I will be grateful for some company while Josh is working. The plan is to keep Nana hostage until Xmas break and then take her back when we go up. So we'll all be one happy family until the new year. It'll be nice to have some time with Nana when we aren't so exhausted all the time :).

Out and about

Today was our first time out since Wednesday because of the rain and we were all happy to get some fresh air. Tomorrow it's supposed to reach 70 so we will be taking advantage of it with some long walks along our road. This is when I like living here.

one step forward....

two steps back. Juliette has gone back to waking after a few hours of sleep at night. I know it's not her teeth because as soon as I pick her up, she stops crying and goes right back to sleep....until I try to put her back down. Last night she screamed for 30 minutes and the night before was a 45 minute lung exercise session. I hope she stops before Nana and Grandpa come because their room is right next to hers. Juliette may be bunking with us for that week!

Outside!

We got to go out for a nice long walk and some time in the swing this morning. Juliette loves the new stroller because she can reach the straps to put them in her mouth.

Brrrrrr!!

Juliette got her first taste of cold weather this morning. Josh left his kids' report cards at the house so I had to bundle her up and make a run to school. Thankfully a teacher saw me drive up and she took them in so I didn't have to bring the baby inside.

Juliette had her first experience with Trick or Treating last night in Warsaw. She got her little pumpkin filled and had a long night at home because of her routine being off. Here are a few of the pictures from her night.
