Princess Tent

Mari got her a princess castle tent and now we can't get Juliette out if it!

Westmoreland Berry Farm

Right at the border of King George and Westmoreland is the Westmoreland Berry Farm. Strawberries were still in season and the day was gorgeous and not too hot so off we went to pick strawberries. Juliette knew right away to pick those little red things off the plants as soon as we got there and wasn't even trying to eat them...until I let her try one. Once she realized those things were delicious I couldn't get her to stop eating them!

Juliette went off with Grandpa to feed the goats.

Party Time

Opening Presents!

Cake time for everyone! Juliette had some help with the icing and licking the icing off the candles. Costco didn't have a Minnie Mouse cake so we improvised with a Minnie candle and two little Minnie figurines that she can play with later.

Juliette and her best buddy Amelia on the playground. As soon as she got to the house, Juliette ran up and gave her a hug. A lot of people say they could pass for twins and I have to agree.

Juliette bummed food off of Grandpa's plate....and Maura's...and then Amelia decided some of Juliette's food looks pretty tasty! :)

Playtime! The sprinkler, sandbox, and water table were a hit. The water table was Juliette's b-day present from us and we set it up the night before so she could play with it by herself before having to share it with all her buddies.

All in all her second birthday party was a hit. Everyone had a good time and there were no meltdowns, fights, hysterical outbursts, or any other outburst! Next year we are getting Chic fil A and pizza. Josh worked his butt off at the gril and needs a break next year.

Happy Birthday!

Juliette woke up on Friday and saw the cupcakes I bought to take to the sitter for her birthday. She freaked and wanted one asap! We compromised and she had one of those angel food cake shall things like you use to make strawberry shortcake.

From her head to her toes :)

Photo Session

We went to Patriot Park this morning to have Juliette's pictures taken by a friend of Josh's that is doing photography on the side. They turned out amazing.I wish there was a picture though of Juliette brushing her hair out of her eyes in her very dramatic southern fashion! It's too cute. I've tried giving her the bangs look and she just isn't having it. She wants it over to the side!
She took about 50 so here are just afew since it's almost 10pm and a school night (only 14 more!!)

Bed Buddies

Last night Juliette wasn't happy until she had all her friends in bed with her. When I finally realized she wanted her Bo bear that was on the rocking chair, I put it in her crib and she laughed her villain laugh and happily arranged him in with all her other buddies. Here she is this morning with everone!!

Yummo

McDonald's guy: Would you like to try a frozen strawberry lemonade?
Juliette: Yes please.

Another word

Last night Juliette was playing in the sunrom- finally able to use it again- and learned a new word. Seashells! We have some big shells on a table there from our honeymoon and other places. She kepts pointing to them saying Seasells seasells...close enough to understand her :). I can't believe she's going to be two in a few weeks. She's becoming a little human and it's exciting to see her changing out of that baby stage. Sometimes I miss it, but other times not so much. I like that she plays by herself, but still wants our help sometimes and still loves to cuddle in our laps at night.

Big News!

Tonight when we got home and went to take a bath, Juliette looked at the potty seat, said potty, and tried to sit on it. I stripped her down quickly and she sat down. Usually when I sit her on it she'll say no and pop right up. This time she kind of just sat there for a little bit before getting up. I looked in the bowl and there was pee!!! We are so proud of that pee!! :)

New name

Last night we Skyped Nana and Grandpa and Juliette was sooooo excited. As soon as she saw him on the screen, Juliette started screaming Pop! Pop! So I guess that is Grandpa Gary's new name. I think she was trying to say grandpa and it just came out Pop. Like anyhting that comes out of her mouth, it's cute :). One thing now that you can't say in front of her though, is hot dog. Dad called her a hot dog last night and she looked around saying hot dog--looking for one of her favorite foods these days.

Park with the Clouds

Today we went back to Kings Dominion, but this time with Scott, Sharee, Tommy, and Ben. Juliette totally loves Sharee and wanted her to pick her up constantly. Juliette got to ride something new again today- the airplanes. She rode with Ben (almost 3) and she was having a nice little ride...until Ben figured out how to make the plane go up- pulling on this lever/stick. As soon as they went up a little bit, Juliette made her sign for all done and wanted OUT. But thankfully she didn't try to get out until the ride ended! She rode the swings with Ben too and all three of them got into the jeep together. And yes, she kept the necklace on the entire day.

The lever to make the plane go up and down.

Buddies!
