Juliette??
I feel I must explain this! :) Our friends' son was having his fourth borthday party- transformer's theme. Every kid was given a mask and I thought, what the heck, let Juliette put it on. I coudn't believe when she actually let me put it on and didn't rip it off. She's starting to rebel against hats and headbands and rips them off most of the time. I think it's a great pic except for the fact that the mask is off center and makes her look cross eyed because it's covering part of her eye....she's still cute! She also loves being able to sit in high chairs now and looking around. Augh well it's almost 11pm and I've got to go to bed or I'm going to be dead on my feet tomorrow.

Here kitty kitty kitty
Well it was bound to happen sooner or later. Juliette has discovered Sadie. She watches Sadie now and smiles at her. Sadie, in turn, has accepted Juliette as one of her humans and has been very tolerant of Juliette's "explorations" of her to the point of allowing the baby to pull on her ears, yank her tail and grab her fur- a total shock to Josh and myself considering how she attacks perfectly nice visitors who gently try to pet her.
This week
here's this week's picture- She goes nuts over the Elmo stocking Nana got here. It sings "Jingle Bells" and dances around. I've got to get a picture of her enjoying the new freedom she has of sitting in a high chair while we are eating out. She loves it!
Nana says "Where's Elmo?" and she gets all excited. Not sure if she knows what it means, maybe she just likes the sound of the word Elmo??Wednesday, December 2, 2009
Augh
Well last night sucked. I don't know what was bothering her, but Juliette was up from about midnight until 5 off on and on- even my secret weapon didn't knock her out. She was fast asleep after her little snack at 2am and when I put her down, she freaked out. At 5 I just laid her on my chest and she fell asleep, content to just cuddle with me. I'm hoping she naps for a little bit today and has a better night tonight. I even gave her Tylenol before bed, but that didn't do squat to help her sleep. No, I don't routinely drug my kid- she got her shots so I wanted to help her out if there was any soreness. Today we get the new dishwasher installed and my project is getting the Xmas cards sent out after addressing the last few envelopes. This is the first year we've done cards since we had our pictures done- hey it's her first one so it had to be special :).

Presents
Nana and Grandpa brought down Juliette's Xmas presents so we wouldn't have to bring them back to VA with us after break, so she got some practice opening presents. She did a pretty good job grabbing the paper and pulling- with her two little fingers. She didn't know quite what to do after that, but it was cute. True to form, she liked the crinkly bag her presents came in more than anything. Her little hat was so adorable- it says My first Christmas. Just like her mommy, she passed up the toys and went straight for the books!
Next present please!
Gimme the book! I can turn the pages myself thank you very much.
Ooooh a bag!
