New sound

Here is Juliette's new and not at all annoying sound taught to her by, you guessed it, Daddy. We hear it in the morning on her monitor, in the car, and as seen here-at meal times.

Picture people

Ok so Picture People is an evil store!! :) They had a coupon for a free 10x13 and Juliette looked cute and was happy after a nap and lunch, so we stopped by. Of course it's impossible to choose one!! I would have taken about 5, but Josh pulled me back and we walked out with two...not bad :).

Much Better

Juliette is doing much better and has been sleeping until 8am! I never thought I'd get to sleep that late again for many years. I doubt it will last. Our little home project of the bathroom, turned bedroom, turned half the house, has now taken the turn of painting the kitchen. I'm sick of all the mistakes we made and looking at the ceiling that is seriously messed up when we tried to paint over the grease stains one night. Josh didn't want to paint the bedroom so the one guy is doing it-first time we've paid someone to paint. Then I thought what the heck, might as well have the kitchen done too and ready to look nice for when we sell the house someday.

Doctor

I knew when she got up this morning that I would be taking Juliette to the doctor today. She felt hot and was really digging in her ear. We went to the prime care as soon as they opened and when the PA stuck the ear thingy in her ear, the baby FREAKED out...duh it hurt her! And she didn't care for the rectal thermometer either for the record. She had a 100.3 temp which is big for her since she's like me and runs normally around 97.8. She's on a 10 day cycle of antibiotics and is not happy. Once again she's having a hard time sleeping because she can't suck her thumb to calm down. Hopefully she'll feel better by the end of the week.

New Pictures

Surprise the bathroom that we were promised would be finished yesterday is not done so we aren't making the trip up to PA to pick up Josh at his grandmother's...have to wait until July. Grandpa is here to take Nana home and we just got done with a nice afternoon swim to wear Juliette out for her nap...works like a charm. Here are a few of the things we've been up to lately.

Near the end

The contractor came today to collect the final, final, final check for the bathroom. I'm hoping I see him on Monday!! He said he wants to get this job finished since he's got 6 others- not my problem. Could this really be it??? We've got some serious perging to do and I really don't want to get rid of my books, so hopefully I can find a new space for them. I'm looking forward to having our house back to ourselves, but I know the baby will miss the guys :). She loves seeing them everyday for some reason. They've seen her through being sick, they've fussed over her, she's played with them, it's a funny relationship! :). The other day Josh came home to our main man Bud pushing her in her swing! The first thing he does when he comes in the mornings, or whenever they choose to get here, is to go over to Juliette for a hug. I told him each hug should knock some cash off the bill--I don't think he credited us :(

Update

Been a while since the last entry so a quick update- the hole in the house as been fixed and apparently is strong enough to withstand a hurricane, the floor is sturdy enough to support a semi, so if any of you know when a hurricane might blow a semi around, our house is the place to be!! The baby is taking more and more steps, is loving the great weather and getting to be in the pool almost every day, and has mastered giving a high five. I got the pictures back from when the photographer came to the house, but right now don't have time to put them up. I'll try to do it tonight when the baby sleeps. Last night after we put her to bed at 7 Josh and I did a Wal Mart run only to come home an hour later and find Miss Juliette wide awake on the chair with Nana. Apparently she had some really bad gas and farted and burped until 9. To make her comfy, I cuddled with her and popped in a Mickey Dvd and she couldn't have been happier. I bet she was thinking we do that all the time after she goes to bed. I thought since she was up an extra 2 hours she would sleep in,.....nope. Up at 6am for the first time in weeks. She's napping right now and then it's off to music in the park. I've got her lunch packed, snacks ready, and car packed. Now just waiting for her to wake up and get her dressed.
